Notes
Stepista 2 generates bass, lead, pad, chord, arp and percussion patterns inside your DAW. Pick one of 24 genre presets, set the key and mode, and hit Gen. Drop one of your own MIDI clips on it and every pattern after that follows your rhythm, your intervals and your range.
Patterns come from Stepista's own engine, running on your computer, and your clips stay on your machine.
It's a paid plugin: €59 once, for a single-user licence that covers macOS and Windows on up to 3 computers, with updates included. You can try it before you buy: the download is the demo, and everything works except Save .mid and drag-to-DAW, which unlock with a licence.
Stepista started in March 2026 as a free plugin (the original post). Version 2 is a new, paid release, and installing it replaces the free 1.x in your DAW.
